A Little Bit About Me
Where to begin?..

Well it seems that almost everyone here is looking for the same or at least similar things so why is it so difficult finding someone you want to spend the rest of your life with? And how to sell yourself (in a manner of speaking without sounding overly clichéd?)

I'll give it a go nonetheless as we are all here for the same purpose (or so I hope!)

I see myself as an outgoing bubbly person, someone who loves to laugh and attempts at making others laugh (or at least crack a smile of some sorts). Generally I'm quite a chatty person but can also be shy at times. However once you get to know me, you will find that I do have a mischievous side to me, I believe you can't enjoy life if you don't add a bit of fun and laughter into it regardless of what life may bring.

I love to learn and travel having visited various countries. I also love to go on long drives, walks and would like to see more of the world's cultural and scenic sights. Oh and I must mention that I'm a sweet tooth, people generally know me as always having some kind of sweetness in my bag/pocket/hand/mouth, but don't worry I share too (depending on how nice you are to me or what you can bribe me with) so if anyone has any triple chocolate cake to entice me with

I come from a close knit family with lots of love, laughter and madness. In terms of Islam, I hold it dear to my heart but I wont lie and say I'm am the perfect Muslim, I do try but it is something I wish to improve on and learn so much more about as my life goes on, maybe I can find that special someone to go on that learning journey with?

What I Am Looking For
Oooh hard part!

I don't want to sound too soppy here so I'll try and sound as reasonable as I can (as I know we can get quite demanding about how we all want a guy who's tall, dark, handsome, rich, can cook, can take you places AND keep a well paid job down amongst other things and hey that goes for you blokes too in the girly expectations anyway)

I'd like a guy who can make me laugh, the kind where if im huffing away in a sulk (as I do being the moody so and so I can be) he can put a smile on my face. Someone who knows his mind and not easily influenced by things or people around him. I'd like to find a guy who (without sounding like a Hollywood movie) can make me feel safe and protected and that can look after me if necessary. Someone well spoken, who looks after himself and can attempt at being romantic once in a while (even if it means going out for a walk to the chippy).

Family being an important element in most people's lives, its important that a guy knows the value of this, I'd like to feel that once I find that person in my fate that I can be received in his family not just as a daughter in law but a daughter, a sister and a wife and take his family as one that I can regard as my own.

In terms of money, it is something which comes and goes and holds no great significance in my life. My parents taught me the value of money but also that it is something that people should not be judged on. Because of this I'm not after someone who is rich or can become rich so I can continue to add to my shoe/handbag collection, so long as he is happy in his life and career it will suffice. The simple and small things in life are important too so someone that isn't all about the material things we can acquire in our lifetime.

Finally and most importantly, I'd like to meet someone who has the desire to strengthen their deen and follow Islam. I try my best to be the best Muslim I can, so someone who can teach me more about it or willing to learn with me, it could be even better that way.

(P.S) I'm looking for a long term commitment (obviously it being a marriage site and all) and not a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. I'm open to how negotiations take place whether you would like to talk through email, phone (prepare to do all the talking though) or face to face (bring cake).
